Our Origins: Bob Carpenter and Pro Stock Motorcycle Racing

Carpenter Racing was founded by Bob Carpenter, a trailblazer in Pro Stock Motorcycle drag racing. Bob’s journey began in the late 1970s, racing on a Kawasaki H2 before progressing to Kawasaki Z1s and the legendary Suzuki GS1100. Competing as an independent racer against well-funded teams, Bob’s success was driven by innovation, insight, and relentless hard work. By the early 1980s, he had secured four Pro Stock Motorcycle championships across NHRA/NMRA, AMDRA, and DRAGBIKE! racing associations.
